Dr. Jaime Straley brings a wealth of experience and compassion to our veterinary team. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she earned her veterinary degree from Ross University in 2006, completing her clinical training at Purdue University.
Since graduating, Dr. Straley has worked across a wide range of veterinary fields, including small animal medicine and surgery, emergency medicine, exotic animal care, and shelter medicine. She has a special interest in internal medicine and preventative care, and she is deeply committed to strengthening the bond between pets and their families. As a Fear Free Certified professional, she prioritizes creating a calm, positive experience for every patient.
Dr. Straley has called Kent home since graduation, where she lives with her husband, Jason, and their son, Leo. Their household is truly a “funny farm,” featuring nine dogs, a cat, a 21-year-old cockatoo, a green cheek conure, and an Eastern painted turtle.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, boating, traveling, and attending baseball games—cheering on both the Guardians and the Pirates with her son.
